This is a wonderful opportunity to grow an organization that has a profound impact on the lives of our veterans and their families!
About Returning Veterans Project
It is our community’s collective responsibility to offer support and healing for the short- and long-term repercussions of war zone service on veterans and their families. Since our founding in 2005, Returning Veterans Project (RVP) has provided free and confidential health and wellness services to over 2,600 post-9/11 war zone veterans, service members and their families in our Oregon and Southwest Washington communities. We are now poised to expand our services to include combat-zone veterans and their family members from pre-9/11 conflicts as well. We fulfill our mission by recruiting, training and supporting a volunteer network of 200 licensed independent mental health and somatic practitioners, healthcare clinic providers and other wellness providers.
This is what a few of our clients have recently said about RVP:
This Executive Director Opportunity
We are a mission-centered organization with a small staff and low overhead, and we’re looking for an Executive Director to lead us into our next phase of development and help us grow. We are eager to expand our services and our community presence so we can serve all of those who have given so much in service to our country. This is an incredible opportunity to shape and grow an organization with a proven and participant-centered model, a strong reputation in the veterans’ community, and a diverse and dedicated corps of volunteers. When you come to work each day, you will know that everything you do helps to heal the wounds of war.
